thought today i would enjoy some video games after work and not even 5 minutes in, the power goes out
Only for like half an hour, but it was the third time the power cut off today so honestly i guess it’s a sign I shouldn’t do anything on the computer until this weather clears up
Though this storm has been pretty mild compared to others where we didn’t lose power
2026-04-15T03:18:23.750Z
wack that just a few days ago it was nice, sunny 70 degrees and it dropped down to the mid 40s with feel like temps in the 30s pissing rain and wind
2026-04-15T03:21:09.895Z
Winter has been pretty mild though…so I imagine summer will be brutal. I have taken the luxury of air conditioning for granted. Got my handy dandy box fan to use as an exhaust to pull out the hot hair when it starts to get warmer again
2026-04-15T03:23:47.855Z
Gets the job done, I suppose, other than when it’s about the same temperature outside as it is inside lol

they got me fr
2026-04-16T23:22:40.099Z

The weather has been nice today, so with my grandfather, decided it was time to rip out the rotten wood edging near the driveway
You can see bits of the old one next to the recycling bin
Decided on this specific color for staining the new wood

Sealer as well to make it last a bit longer than the old ones
apparently the first picture I uploaded didn’t actually upload…

Well I guess it won’t upload lmao
Image compression coming when fr

when i have free time, i write articles on wikipedia, mostly for anything particular in the music scene. for my latest article, i challenged myself to write an article about Yorushika's album, second person. i listen to their music every once in awhile but i would not call myself a hardcore fan. a large majority of the articles i make on there, especially music-related ones, are for artists i follow closely (like Ai, Chanmina, Hikaru Utada, etc).
i fr should find a better hobby, but writing is fun
and it was interesting to write a wiki article for their album. you can read it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Person_(album)
2026-04-20T02:52:31.539Z
honestly i love how mellow this album is. through my 'research' trying to find reputable sources for this article, i noticed a lot of their fans were not too happy with the genre direction of the album, as well as how many tracks the album has
Yorushika is primarily marketed as a J-rock duo, but their more recent releases have been more indie as of late
2026-04-20T02:54:23.460Z
its like a jazzy indie album in a way
Also with my research for this particular article, i found out the duo's songs are "story-based". so, the entire album is essentially a concept album with a story throughout its songs.
Songs and albums like that have become particularly big in Japan as of late, especially with Yoasobi making songs in a similar way.
2026-04-20T02:57:32.806Z
but Second Person also has a 'novel' that goes along with the music, which is interesting
the novel is the same title, written by N-buna, who produces and is part of Yorushika
2026-04-20T02:59:22.524Z
but the story for Second Person, for both the album and book since they interconnect, is of a boy who writes various letters filled with poems. his teacher assists in review and feedback all while sending them in envelopes
the vocalist for Yorushika, Suis, does a wonderful job singing these songs on this record. I am more familiar with her than N-buna

Despite not getting a physical release, the album was very successful in Japan, reaching number 2 on Billboard Japan's Hot Albums chart. Honestly, that is a feat right there with how physical media is still predominantly popular in Japan still.

Somehow, ‘Greatest “Hits” - Vol. 1’ got approximately 1.1k streams on Spotify
2026-04-24T17:27:24.590Z
Which is kinda interesting considering there was a no new material on this release
Nonetheless, thank you for tuning in!
2026-04-24T17:30:51.621Z
Someday, maybe a song will get 1k streams so it no longer displays <1k lmao
I estimate about 10-15 years for that though
